3 - 5 October

3K - Kindergarten:
This week students will review and continue to master the various topics that they have learned thus far.  These topics include:  greetings, farewells, feelings, questions, colors, numbers 1-15, days of the week, months of the year, and animals.  In addition, they will be learning various words associated with this time of the year, such as fall, leaf and pumpkin.  Students will be having fun practicing these topics through songs, flashcards, and games.

First Grade:
This week first graders will continue to review the various topics that they have learned thus far.  Last week, they worked on making adjective agreement.  This week, they will continue to do so and will participate in a cumulative activity that combines all of the topics for review in the form of a category game.

Second Grade:
This week second graders will continue to review the various topics that they have learned thus far. In addition, they will learn the four seasons in Spanish as well as new vocabulary words and expressions associated with the month of October and fall.  

Third Grade:
This week third graders will continue to review the various topics that they have learned thus far. Last week, students worked on forming complete sentences in Spanish and adding many new verbs to their vocabulary, such as:  to ride a bicycle, to swim, to watch television, and to write stories.  This week, they will continue to build on this vocabulary and express what they like and do not like to do in their free time.

Fourth Grade:
This week fourth graders will continue to review the various topics that they have learned thus far. Students will continue forming sentences in Spanish and adding various verbs, nouns, and adjectives to their vocabulary.  They will practice spelling these new words and reviewing how to pronounce them in Spanish.

Fifth Grade:
This week fifth graders will continue to review the various topics that they have learned thus far. Students will practice communicating what they and others like to do and do not like to do in their free time.  In addition, they will be introduced to the subject pronouns in Spanish and begin to conjugate verbs ending in -ar in the present tense.  

Sixth Grade:
This week sixth graders will continue to review the various topics that they have learned thus far. Students will continue to review the subject pronouns in Spanish and the present tense endings for regular verbs ending in -ar, -er, and -ir.  They will form sentences in Spanish and create a dialogue between two people reinforcing the greetings, farewells, questions, and activity vocabulary.
