November & December:

-Early Years-
Early year students are enjoying learning Spanish! They are practicing vocabulary pertaining to greetings, goodbyes, feelings, emotions, colors, animals, parts of the body, numbers, days of the week, months of the year, various foods and drinks, as well as classroom objects. They are enjoying learning many new songs in Spanish in order to help them remember the new vocabulary.

-Lower School-
Lower school students are reinforcing all of the vocabulary themes that they have learned throughout the first quarter.  In addition, they are being introduced to many new words and expressions from the second quarter. They are enjoying practicing the vocabulary and are enthusiastic learners!

Parents:  Students will keep a record of the dates that they will have a test in their planners.  Please e-mail me with any questions!  Thank you.

October:

-Early Years-
Early year students are enjoying learning Spanish! They are practicing greetings, goodbyes, feelings, emotions, colors, animals, parts of the body, and numbers in class. They are enjoying learning many new songs in Spanish in order to help them remember the new vocabulary.

-Lower School-
Lower school students are learning the greetings, goodbyes, feelings, emotions, colors, numbers, days of the week, months of the year, animals, parts of the body, question words, the alphabet in Spanish, verbs and some of the subject pronouns. They are enjoying practicing the vocabulary and are enthusiastic learners.

Parents:  I will post the dates for tests and due dates for projects on this blog.  Students will also keep a record of these dates in their planners.  Please e-mail me with any questions!  Thank you.

Lower school students are learning the greetings, goodbyes, feelings, emotions, colors, numbers, days of the week, months of the year, animals, parts of the body, question words, and the alphabet in Spanish. They are enjoying practicing the vocabulary and are enthusiastic learners.

Early year and lower school students have vastly increased their knowledge of vocabulary terms and expressions in Spanish. The students have thoroughly enjoyed practicing and reinforcing the vocabulary that they have learned through song. Some of their favorite songs in Spanish were those pertaining to the colors, greetings and goodbyes, numbers, animals, days of the week, months of the year, and foods. In addition, students illustrated the vocabulary and played games in order to reinforce the material. All of the students practiced the pronunciation of the words and expressions that they learned in Spanish and the lower school students also focused on the spelling of these words and expressions. Fifth and sixth grade students acquired various verbs and expressions.  They practiced writing sentences and conjugating verbs in the present tense as well as making adjective agreement in Spanish. It has been a wonderful school year! Enjoy the summer and see you next year!
